Bridging the Gap in
Behavioral Health & Senior Care
South Florida Medical and Behavioral Health Institute (SFMBHI) was founded in 2024 to ensure that no one in our community goes without the cognitive and mental health support they need — regardless of their financial situation.
We operate a vibrant Senior Activity Center in Delray Beach offering free wellness programming for adults 55 and older, alongside specialized behavioral health services — including memory screenings, cognitive rehabilitation, and psychological evaluations for veterans — led by our expert clinical team.
SFMBHI is proudly supported by HG Doctors (Delray Medical & Dental) — a trusted South Florida healthcare provider serving our community since 1979.
Free Programs for Adults 55 & Older
Our doors are open to every senior in our community. Come for a class, stay for the friendship — everything we offer is completely free of charge.
Physical Wellness
Chair yoga, cardio and balance exercises designed safely for older adults. Stay active, feel strong, and enjoy every session in good company.
Brain Fitness
Engaging cognitive activities and memory games led by our behavioral health team to keep your mind sharp and curious every week.
Socialization & Fun
Games, networking events, and group activities that foster lasting friendships and reduce isolation. Community is at the heart of everything we do.
Wellness Education
Guest speaker workshops on nutrition, cognitive health, identity safety, and healthy aging — giving you the knowledge to live your best life.
Memory Screenings
Free, confidential early detection screenings for memory and cognitive concerns, with seamless connection to our specialized clinical team when needed.
Resource Navigation
Our dedicated social workers connect you and your family to community resources, caregiver support, and the right clinical services at the right time.
